I was so blessed to be able to hunt with General West at Patriots 4 cabins in Parsons, WV. Being a paralyzed USMC Veteran it was a dream come true. I thoroughly enjoyed being on the deer hunt there in WV. I stayed in a very accessible Marine Corp theme decorated cabin for 4 days and was not allowed to pay for anything! Food from the outdoor resort, General Store, sarcastically named after founder – retired USMC General Randy West, and all goods were free. I saw deer on every hunt and had the opportunity to harvest two doe. The deer was even processed for me and all packaged to take home on the last day, free of charge.
This very special hunt with other Veterans, was an excellent time to relax, unwind, and share stories and time in the outdoors with other Veterans like me. We are broken, but far from done enjoying what is left of our lives and I want to express my thanks for it. Thank you General West for one of my best outdoor adventures since I became paralyzed. I look forward to hunting with you again!
