Thank you for visiting Patriots 4’s (P4) web page. We are thrilled to welcome wounded veterans, current and former service members, and civilians to our amazing recreational facility. Located in St. George, WV, north of Monongahela National Forest and just 180 miles outside Washington DC, P4’s 1/2 mile on the Cheat river, 1/2 mile on Clover Run trout stream, and majestic mountains are ideal for kayaking, hiking, hunting and fishing.

Guests can also experience our serene location while enjoying a good book, listening to the sounds of nature on the porch of one of our rustic and service-oriented cabins, or enjoy the tranquil setting through the convenience of your own camper or tent.

In addition, for those who want to take in local sites, P4 is close to numerous West Virginia tourist attractions: Canaan Valley, Blackwater Falls, Elkins, Thomas, The Purple Fiddle, The Smallest Church, the Allegheny Bike Trail, Seneca Rocks, Elkins Speedway, Holly Meadows Golf Course and so much more. Coined by former WV Governor Arch Moore and Commerce Director Lysander Dudley in 1969, West Virginia is indeed ‘Wild & Wonderful!

P4 Cabins

Currently, P4 has four cabins: Semper Fi (in honor of the Marines), Hooah (in honor of the Army), Anchors Away (in honor of the Navy), and Wild Blue Yonder (in honor of the Air Force).

There is also a cabin for rent to the public, Wild & Wonderful (in honor of WV).

We are proud and excited to announce plans to add two additional cabins (Coast Guard and First Responders) as well as a larger lodge for single vets, service members, or the general public. Please check back for more info on how to donate to the construction of these buildings, or to be a part of the official groundbreaking!

Each P4 cabin features the following amenities:

• Wheelchair accessible, including a ramp to enter from the driveway;
• A fully functional kitchen which includes a stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishes, pans and coffee makers for those who enjoy cooking. Note that there is also a General Store adjacent to the property which provides meals as well;
• Wall mounted flat screen TVs;
• A bathroom which includes a large handicapped accessible shower stall with a built-in bench;
• A bedroom which opens directly to an outside deck perfect for relaxing and star gazing;
• A large front porch to relax on and take in the scenery; and
• Picnic tables and an outdoor grill which are accessible to all.

Reservations and Rates

P4 is open year round with fishing available from March through December and hunting during all WV seasons. Our cabins are availabe to rent to the public through Evolve Vacation Rentals. Follow the links below.

We recognize some of our guests may have specific medical needs or requirements, or not feel comfortable visiting a remote recreational area without a medical facility nearby. While P4 is indeed in a remote location, we want all our guests to feel safe and comfortable knowing that St. George Medical Center, equipped with a helopad, is two minutes away, and Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins is 30 minutes away. Requests for winter stays are available, however, hunting and fishing are not available during Jan and Feb.

In recognition of the many sacrifices our combat wounded service members have made, P4 is proud to offer combat wounded service members (and their immediate family) the opportunity to stay two times per year at P4 completely free of charge. These visits include 3 days and 2 nights in a P4 cabin stocked with food.

In addition, hunting, kayaking, fishing, bait/tackle, ammunition, processing of catches and kills, and mounting of a WV trophy size catch or kill is also included and is completely free of charge. There are not enough ways to say ‘thank you’ for your service, your sacrifice, and our freedom – P4 aims to do its part in recognizing and honoring our combat wounded service members and their families’ many sacrifices, and the continued freedom our country owes to their heroism. You have done so much for so many in the cause of freedom. It would be difficult for us to do too much for you.

While P4 would love to offer everyone the ability to enjoy our facilities at no cost, rental fees from non-wounded servicemen and women, including vets and civilians, enable combat wounded service members to visit P4 free of charge. Current and former servicemen and women will receive a 20% discount on the below rental rates:

In the Future

Our future plans include building a lodge to accomodate special events, unit reunions and rooms for individual visitors. We also plan on building a chapel, primitive cabin, Coast Guard Cabin, and a First Responders cabin.
